Helpful information:
Snack Time
Snacks are very important to keep us
focused throughout the day! Please send
TWO snack every day to school with your child. We have a snack in the morning as well as one
in the afternoon! Simple and healthy snacks are encouraged: carrot sticks,
granola bars, cut up fruit, crackers, fruit snacks, string cheese, popcorn etc. Napkins will be available at school. Your child will also be able to have a milk
or juice during snack time which is also here at school but are encouraged to
bring a water bottle to use throughout the day.
Specials
PE
We have PE two times per week. Tuesday and Thursday mornings are the
scheduled days for PE. Mrs. Nelson is
the teacher and she has requested every child wears tennis shoes during the
PE time! She also would like you to
me cautious of what your child is wearing that day so it does not hinder their
ability to actively take part in the activities of the day! If you would like to have a separate pair of
shoes to leave here at school, that might be helpful too!
Music
Mrs. Dooley is the music teacher. Our scheduled days for music are Tuesday and Thursday
afternoon.
Spanish
Ms. Christy is the Spanish teacher and
will come into our room two times a week for 30 minutes on Monday and Wednesday
morning.
Art
Mrs. Noble will be teaching art. Our scheduled Art time is Wednesday
afternoon.
Band
Mrs. Dooley is in charge of this and
will give details needed for those that are interested. The current day for
Band is Tuesday before lunch.
Extra
Tidbits
Chapel
We have a whole school Chapel on
Wednesday mornings, beginning at 8:30.
You are always welcome to join us!
There is an offering collected each week so if you are able to send a
small amount weekly, it would be very helpful and a wonderful lesson in
giving! The offering monies collected go
to various outreach missions throughout the year!
Book Orders
A book order form will be sent home about
once a month. Watch for the Scholastic
Book Clubs order form to come home in your child’s folder. This is a wonderful way for our classroom to
earn free books! You may order online or pay via check. Please send your order form and check in an
envelope with your child’s name on it. Please make your check out to Scholastic
Book Club.
Communication
Our
classroom communication will be through a blog.

In
order to follow this blog, please submit your email on the top right side of
the blog page. This way you can be
informed of things happening in the classroom.
Sycamore
This is the school website. Ordering lunches, checking balances, following
grades can be done here. If you have
